Kansas City Business Journal Names Moderson to "20 to Know" in the Legal Industry List

Stinson LLP Partner Matt Moderson has been named by the Kansas City Business Journal as one of the "20 to Know" in the legal industry for 2024. The recognition highlights the depth and breadth of legal talent in the Kansas City area. Moderson was selected for his dual commitment to excellence as a strong legal advocate while also spearheading change in the community through service and leadership roles.

During the last 12 years, Moderson has represented clients in a variety of commercial disputes, including breach of contract, financial services and real estate matters. He has a national practice and has successfully litigated a variety of matters in state and federal courts throughout the country. He also serves on Stinson's recruiting committee and was elected to the firm's partnership in 2022.

Moderson has served for many years on the board of directors for Newhouse Domestic Violence Shelter and continues to be a supporter of the shelter. He is also an active supporter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and participated in their 2022 Visionary of the Year campaign.  His proven leadership, commitment to service and dedication to the Kansas City metropolitan area resulted in his selection to the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Apex Class of 2025 Centurions Leadership Program, a two-year leadership development program preparing emerging leaders for their role in shaping the future of Kansas City.

Additionally, Moderson was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Media as an "Up & Coming" honoree, an award recognizing attorneys 40 years old or younger, or in their first 10 years of practice, achieving at high levels in their work, leadership and community service. He was also recognized on the 2024 Best Lawyers in America "Ones to Watch" list.
