Sargeant Discusses Workplace Investigations on Employment Law Podcast

Stinson LLP Partner Bernadette Sargeant is featured on an AccelPro^TM | Employment Law podcast episode, "On Workplace Investigations and Hiring Outside Investigators," discussing how to navigate the workplace investigative environment and when hiring outside counsel is a good investment.

Sargeant says she's noticing an increase in claims against senior and higher-level officials who have shown an alleged pattern of inappropriate conduct and workplace harassment over the years. She provides insight for how and when human resources teams should decide when to hire an outside investigator to look into claims and common mistakes to avoid throughout the lifecycle of a workplace investigation.

Sargeant also highlights her career of working as a solo practitioner and for the government, in addition to highlighting her current practice at Stinson. "Because I'm affiliated with this firm, I've been able to get some very good investigations work. It's been a really rewarding part of my practice," she said.
