Press Release
07.12.2023

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce that Kim D. Larsen and Tobias F. Ziegler have joined the firm as partners in the Corporate Finance Practice Division. Larsen joins Stinson in the firm's Washington, DC, office, and Ziegler joins Stinson in the firm's New York office, which recently relocated to a larger space to accommodate the firm's growth.

"We are thrilled to welcome Kim and Tobias to Stinson's corporate finance bench, further providing an extensive range of corporate finance-related services to our domestic and international clients and expanding our sophisticated capabilities to markets on the East Coast," Stinson's Corporate Finance Practice Division Chair Jack Bowling said.

Larsen has handled a range of corporate matters, including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, IPOs and commercial transactions, for more than three decades. He has represented large established domestic and international clients in industry-changing joint ventures, acquisitions and privatizations, and has been lead attorney in over a half dozen multibillion dollar mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and securities offerings with a total value in excess of $50 billion. He has extensive experience in the full-range of challenges facing start-ups and enjoys assisting in their success.

Focusing on cross-border corporate and commercial transactions, Ziegler acts as trusted U.S. general outside counsel to numerous internationally operating companies, family offices and individual investors. With a client base throughout Europe, in addition to clients from Asia, Latin America and the U.S., Ziegler represents a wide range of businesses and investors in connection with mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity, joint ventures, and transactions involving the transfer of intellectual property and real estate. He has extensive experience in providing legal representation to start-up companies, particularly in the software and space-tech industries, from inception to exit, and frequently advises businesses and their executives on executive compensation, international taxation and immigration matters.

"Our group's move to Stinson enables our clients to leverage the firm's strength in various specialty areas, among them tax, intellectual property, international trade and antitrust, and its greater geographical footprint, thereby preserving and further enhancing the quality and efficiency of our services," Ziegler said.

Stinson's Corporate Finance practice has one of the strongest benches in the Midwest. With the addition of Larsen in DC and Ziegler in New York, the firm's ability to support the needs of clients domestically and internationally continues to grow.

"We now have 13 offices across the U.S. and a diverse array of attorneys with international experience in each of those offices," Bowling said. "Our depth and growing breadth of our practice and capabilities will continue to allow us to deliver legal services in a business- and industry-specific context that is focused on providing unique results and proactive problem-solving."

Prior to joining Stinson, Ziegler served as both principal and chair of Bressler, Amery & Ross P.C.'s corporate and commercial transactions practice group. Larsen served as principal at the firm.
