Stinson Welcomes its Fall Associates Class of 2023

Stinson LLP is pleased to announce 20 new associates have joined the firm's Kansas City, Minneapolis, New York City, Phoenix and St. Louis offices as members of its 2023 fall associate class.

The new associates by office location, include:

Kansas City

Andrew Arbuckle is a member of the firm's Corporate Finance Practice Division. He earned his J.D., business and commercial law certificate and M.B.A. from the University of Kansas. Prior to joining the firm, Arbuckle served as a Stinson summer associate in 2022.

Natalie Brock is a member of Stinson's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Division. She earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Prior to joining the firm, Brock served as a legal intern to Magistrate Judge Brian Gaddy for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

*Issued a temporary certificate in Missouri, based on Rule 8.06.

Joshua Dollar is a member of the firm's Corporate Finance Practice Division. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Prior to joining the firm, Dollar worked as a law clerk for the Jackson County Prosecutor's Office in Kansas City, Missouri.

Daniel Foose is a member of Stinson's Litigation Associates Group. He earned his J.D. from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Foose served as a Stinson summer associate prior to joining the firm, in addition to serving as a law clerk for a top U.S. pork producer/processor.

Taylor Harrington is a member of Stinson's Real Estate & Public Finance Practice Division. She earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri. She served as a summer associate with the firm in 2022 and 2021.

Hunter Kruse is a member of the firm's Corporate Finance Practice Division. He earned his J.D. and a business and commercial law certificate from the University of Kansas. Kruse worked as a law clerk for a variety of corporations prior to joining Stinson, including a Fortune 500 financial services firm.

Kara Luechtefeld is a member of the firm's Corporate Finance Practice Division. She earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri. Prior to joining the firm, Luechtefeld served as a legal intern to the Honorable Nanette Laughrey of the Western District of Missouri.

Betsy Smith focuses her practice on compliance and class actions involving energy, environmental and natural resources law. She earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri. Smith spent two summers at the firm as a summer associate.

Miranda Swift is a bankruptcy & creditors' rights associate. She earned her J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Swift served as a Stinson summer associate in 2022 and 2021, and is a two-time Legal Council on Legal Diversity Scholar.

Michal Whitney is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Division and is one of the firm's three Certified Information Privacy Professionals. She earned her J.D. from the University of Kansas. Whitney served as a Stinson summer associate in 2022.

Minneapolis

Sarah Almquist is a member of the firm's Litigation Associates Group. She earned her J.D. from the University of St. Thomas. Almquist served as a law clerk for the Minnesota Court of Appeals prior to joining Stinson.

Jennifer Brown is a member of Stinson's Health Care & Life Science Practice Division. She has a J.D. and Ph.D., from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining the firm, Brown served as a Burke Medical Research Institute Research Fellow and a SciPol Scholar Fellow at a full-service government relations firm. She also spent two summers at the firm as a summer associate.

Adam Mikell is a member of Stinson's Corporate Finance Practice Division. He earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining the firm, Mikell served as a legal intern and corporate extern at multinational companies.  

Ben Parker is a member of the firm's Labor, Employment & Benefits Practice Division. He earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota. Parker was a Stinson summer associate in 2022.

Zack Taylor is a member of Stinson's Private Business Practice Division. He earned his J.D. from the University of Minnesota after serving as the Deputy Commander for U.S. Special Operations Forces in Northern Afghanistan from 2018 – 2019. Taylor also was a Stinson summer associate in 2022 and 2021, in addition to working at the firm as a school-term law clerk in 2022.

New York City

Nicole Khalouian is a member of Stinson's Litigation Associates Group. She earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. Prior to joining the firm, Khalouian served as a commercial litigation associate at a New York City law firm in addition to serving as a law clerk for the New York State Supreme Court – Appellate Division.

Phoenix

Annabel Barraza is a member of the firm's Litigation Associates Group. Barraza earned her J.D. from the University of Arizona. Prior to joining Stinson, she served as a litigation associate at an Arizona-based law firm, providing strategic advice and counsel to business and litigation clients.

St. Louis

Austin Diehl is a member of Stinson's Litigation Associates Group. He earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois. Diehl was a Stinson summer associate in 2022.

John Sinclair is a member of Stinson's Private Business Practice Division. He earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University. Prior to joining the firm, Sinclair served as a legal extern for a St. Louis-based privately-held, family-owned supermarket retailer.

Andrew Steiner is a member of the firm's Litigation Associates Group. He earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University. He served as a Stinson summer associate in 2022.
